Goth make up on a budget - follow up

Consider this a follow up to my gothic make up tips post I did a few days ago.

Looking good doesn't mean that you need to spend a fortune. Of course if you can afford it, go for it.
But since I personally am not a rich person, I often buy "mainstream" beauty products and I love it.

However, I have a small advice to give you. It's important to change your mascara every 3 months. I have no scientific evidence to support this statement but I guess it's a bit of common sense. I have read it somewhere which unfortunately I cannot remember where, but I understand it. Our eyes deserve nothing but the best. There are lot of bacteria out there and our eyelashes are so sensitive. Change your mascara often and keep your eyes healthy.

Having said that, I'll continue to my original subject of this post.

I will tell you the products I'm using and I will try and find online how much they cost (it's been a while and I don't remember their exact price).

I'm always on a budget, so this post is dedicate to all of you out there that are looking for nice products on a good price.

As I explained on my earlier post, I support the less is more way of thinking.
Foundation, black eyeliner, mascara and red lipstick. And that is all.

So here are the products I'm using.

Foundation:
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. Prices on ebay can start from 5.99$+ free shipping, or in the same price range on other currencies. In Sweden I have found it even 69SEK.
I love it. It has been my best friend the morning after a late party on a weekday.
Just go to your local cosmetics store, try it out to see which shade is suitable for your skin, and buy it online.
Ebay is another best friend of mine.

Eyeliner:
Fluidline gel eyeliner by MAC. Yes MAC cosmetics are usually expensive, but this little baby costs around 10$ (plus 1$-2$ for shipping, ebay of course). And it lasts. Trust me, it does. And it's amazing.
Alternatively, you can buy any eyeliner/pencil for less money from your local store. There are always cheap yet nice ones.

Mascara:
Any from Maybeline. Yes I do buy a lot from Maybeline. It's inexpensive and it's great.

Lipstic.
My favourite part of the makeup! I have this amazing Blood red Manic Panic lipstick, which I bought from ebay for less than 10$.
And well, I have another one, and this is my favourite actually, the Stargazer n.127 which costs less than 50 SEK, which it's like 5,6 euros.
And it's one of the best lipsticks I have ever owned. It's so red, and even though it's not a permanent one, it stays!

And here are all of my babies posing for you, on my kitchen table.

I hope you enjoyed my tips!

PS. I have no connection with the above brands and this is not a sponsored post. These are just products I like and I shared them with you.

Gothic makeup

Every time I go plan on going out on a cool Gothic club night, I always stress about what I to wear, but I forget the most important thing, and that's my makeup.

Of course, the important thing is that it has to be some sort of goth or EBM related makeup style.
many times I 've spend so many hours in front of the mirror, trying to find that killer combination of eyeshadow and lipstick etc.

But actually, it's pretty simple.

I'm going to share with you my all time favourite make up tip.

Less is more. And by that I mean to use:

Your foundation of choice, black eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick. That's it. Simple, right?

Seriously, you don't need anything more.

Look how pretty that girl is.
Especially for goth parties/events/club nights, black eyeliner + red lipstick is never out of fashion.

And now that you solved the makeup problem, you have all this extra time to spend on figuring out what to wear.

Oh, I know, that can never be solved in just a few minutes. ;)

Happy Gothic Holidays - Time for presents for your loved ones and of course you!

Holiday season is here!
Don't wait and make your purchases on time.

Being goth means giving goth presents (clothes ;) ) or even buying for yourself a great gothic t-shirt with your own text on it.

Yes, now you can make your own designs, write whatever you want on your shirt, both boys and girls, and be a holidays goth, punk, alternative. Whatever you want to be. You decide!

You can even change your shirt's colours and fonts to your liking.

And since it's winter (in the half part of the world at least) here are some amazing long sleeve shirts to keep you warm.

Make your orders on time for the holidays.
Happy shopping!
X.

Gothic fashion for the fall

So, September is just around the corner and I have a hard time in finding with what my wardrobe should consist of, for this fall.

So far I have decided on a new pair of dr. Martens. Yum.

But I could use a couple of shirts from http://www.gothicfashion.se/ and maybe a new skirt, not too mini, just for everyday outfits.

Girls and boys, I will say it once more. If we are good at what we do (and well ok, we don't work in a bank) we can wear whatever we want. Stay goth/ebm/industrial..or whatever you want to call it. I know sometimes we need to dress up a bit more "properly" when there are meetings coming up, but still, wear that button up shirt, but use a cool backle or your favourite clubbing ring. It will look so cool with that suit ;)

Oops, got to go back to work.
Cheers

Vampires frenzy - everyone likes vampires

So it's not a new thing that everyone likes vampires.

Well, it's not my words, but the facts say so. The popularity of movies like the Twilight Saga (read the books) and the Vampire Diaries (saw the whole season) is granted and girls (mostly) and boys all around the world are very much into everything related to vampires.

And why not. They are pretty, they are cool, they are sexy. But be careful not to mix reality with fantasy.

I personally enjoy these movies and series a lot, but I guess I'm a bit too old for teenage vampire romance. I wouldn't say no to something more in the 30+ age target group, hehe.

I also like the idea of vampires but not to the degree of an obsession. I'm not saying that I've met anyone, just giving a friendly tip.

However, what I love about this whole frenzy, is the outfits and the whole influence in the style. Vampires are always elegantly dresses, even if they are wearing a simple T-shirt, they will wear a cool pair of jeans that fits them perfectly, or a hot jacket and will have the looks that kill.

I am guilty myself of loving the style of Damon from Vampire Diaries. He is always elegant and stylish.

Ok, it's not goth, the only goth about this whole thing is the "vampire" atmosphere of the show, and even that is not that noticeable in this series (except from the Victorianesque flash backs) but it's elegant. I will not say no to an elegant outfit, as long as it doesn't include colours like yellow, green, or similar :P hehe.

Whats your favourite outfit that's inspired by TV or movies?

Goth tip of the day

There are some days that you just can't find what to wear!
(Unless you are one of our customers and have picked your cool t-shirts from gothicfashion, but that's a different story).

Even though you might have many t-shirts, pants or skirts, some days it's a fact, nothing fits right.
So what do you do?

Well, don't panic. Just pick something that you know you will feel comfortable, yes even your training pants, and transform it with a nice goth hair clip, or necklase, your favourite goth ring, yes don't be afraid, and for the boys, just put on that cool armband that you save for the clubnights, or your evil, goth watch.

And there you have it.
It's the simple details that make the difference.

Just be innovative, be cool and above all different ;)

Cheers

Tips for everyday goth - cybergoth - ebm outfits

Well, let's face it, just wearing black clothes, a simple pair of plack training pants, and a blank black t-shirt, will not make you goth.

It might sound silly to some, as in "appearence doesn't matter" but well, actually it does.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that if you don't dress gothic or ebm, you are not a worth-noticing person.

However, if you like that kind of music and you like the oufits, that means that you like to stand out and you like to be different.

And that's perfect.

So let me share a few simple tips.

When I go to work, I can't really wear mini skirts and fishnets, however I put on my black mini skirt (ok, not very mini, it's work after all) that has a few details, like a couple of laces in the front, nothing fancy.
And since I can't wear a fishnet tight, i choose to put on my opaque leggings.

Pick a plain black shirt (you know, the ones with the buttons) and have cool T-shirt on top (yep, you got it, time to pick one from our goth-ebm collection) and that's it.

Put on your boots, ok not that high heeled PVC boots, u know the other ones, the flat ones for everyday, or your allstar shoes or whatever and... there you have it!

Enjoy your casual day!
